Important information regarding Optoma projector mounts
This safety notice applies to the following Optoma projector mounts:
Optoma OCM818W
Optoma OCM818B
If one of the mount kits has been used to install a projector between 4 September 2017 and 1 November 2017 there is a chance that the unit may be missing a component rendering the mount faulty and cause the mount to fail. To identify if your installation is potentially faulty see the identification guide below.
If your installation is missing the mentioned component, if you are unsure or require further advice please contact your installer who will be able to help and will arrange for the modifications to be carried out if required.
Faulty part identification
The missing components are the M8x55 Socket cap screw and corresponding M8 Nylock nut located on the centre column. This can be identified from the diagrams below.
Upon installation when following the installation guide correctly, it would become apparent that these items are missing.
