Bromley has the largest area of countryside in London; over half our borough is Green Belt countryside and covers some 77sqkm. This includes a mix of farmed land, historic villages, wetland, horse paddocks, woodland chalk grassland and more. We own and manage a vast array of countryside sites including woodlands, commons, country parks and other open spaces. 

Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms (BEECHE)

Situated in High Elms Country park, BEECHE is an education and visitor centre offering environmental education to schools in term time and opens as a visitor and information centre on weekends and during school holidays.

Bromley Field Studies Centre

Bromley Field Studies Centre at Scadburyhas an excellent and successful reputation for delivering environmental, land-based and construction training.

High Elms Country Park Local Nature Reserve

High Elms Country Park offers 250 acres of countryside to explore combined with a 150-acre golf course, which together form the High Elms Estate.

Jubilee Country Park Local Nature Reserve

62 acres of wildflower meadows, hedgerows and semi-natural ancient woodland to explore.

Scadbury Park Local Nature Reserve

Over 300 acres of meadows, hedgerows and woodland to explore.
