Would you like to munch your way through a strawberry like the Very Hungry Caterpillar, or hum like the fridge that disturbs the peace, or pack your bag ready to join a Bear Hunt? Storytimes are a fun way for parents and carers to introduce their children to different books, stories and songs. There is usually something to make and take home too. 

Eligibility

• Storytime: Children aged 3 to 5 years and their parents and carers.
• Books Aloud: Children aged 5 to 7 and their parents and carers 
  

Details

Storytimes for younger children take place at the following libraries (term time only except at Central Library and Mottingham Library):

• Central Library - Wednesdays 2.15 - 2.45pm
• Beckenham Library - Wednesdays 2.15 - 2.45pm    
• Chislehurst Library - Fridays 2.15 - 2.45pm 
• Mottingham Library - Saturdays 2.00 - 2.30 pm   
• Shortlands Library - Saturdays 11.15 - 11.45 am  
• West Wickham Library - Tuesdays 2.15 - 2.45pm 

Books Aloud, for older children, takes place at the following libraries:

• Biggin Hill Library - Every Saturday (term time only) 3.30 - 4.00 pm
• Mottingham Library -  Every Monday (term time only) 5.00 - 5.30 pm
• Petts Wood Library - Every Friday (term time only) 4.00 - 4.30 pm (booking essential)
• West Wickham Library - Every Tuesday (term time only) 3.45 - 4.15 pm
