Condolence book and security update, from severe to critical

In line with many other public and government buildings, flags at the Civic Centre were lowered yesterday as a sign of respect, solidarity and sympathy following the terrorist attack in Manchester.

Naturally, our thoughts are with the friends and families of those affected by the terrible incident at Manchester Arena on Monday 22 May.  In an expression of our sympathy and support, the council has placed a book of condolence in main reception at the Civic Centre for members of the public, as well as for staff, to sign and leave messages.
