Residents are invited to visit the Bromley SENDMatters learning space which will be returning to The Glades shopping centre (opposite Lush) from Wednesday 23 March 2022 to Saturday 26 March 2022 between 11am and 4pm.

Bromley’s experienced SEND (special educational needs and disability) staff will be there with guidance and resources to support Bromley residents to better understand disabilities and additional needs. Bromley Council and partners work to support children and families across the borough to get children the best start in life and to help young people continue their development as they reach adulthood. SEND staff from across the borough are eager to provide guidance to residents at the learning space on what is available in Bromley to support children and young people aged 0 to 25 who have additional needs or disabilities.

Councillor Kate Lymer, Executive Councillor for Children, Education and Families said: “Bromley Council is always keen to raise awareness in Bromley about all disabilities.

“Our community events at our learning space in The Glades are fantastic opportunities for residents to speak with SEND staff from across our borough, to learn more about support and services available in Bromley, and to meet with other parents. Our friendly and experienced staff are eager to meet with you all, so I encourage anyone who is interested to pop in if they can.”

Awareness, understanding and support can help children and young people with additional needs and disabilities to thrive socially, emotionally, and educationally so everybody is welcome to stop by Bromley’s learning space at The Glades for an informal chat with SEND staff and to pick up some useful guidance and resources.
