Council website to be more responsive
Published Wednesday, 2 July 2014
We have updated our website to be 'responsive'.
Nearly 50 percent of all users now view the website www.bromley.gov.uk on a mobile device, either a tablet or smartphone. Until now our website was designed for a desktop PC and some pages were difficult to use on a smaller screen.
A responsive website is designed to react to the size of the users screen; the content for each page is organised so it fits the particular screen with important information and tasks near the top.
The layout has been simplified so it can adjust more effectively so it is easier to use the site through touch.
We will continue to review content on the site so it is presented as clearly as possible across all devices. Making it even easier to get the information you require and request, report or pay whenever and wherever it suits you.
