New face for Bromley Town Centre management
From January Bromley town centre has a new manager. Ian Payne is already known to many of those who live and work in the borough’s largest commercial area for his work with the Salvation Army and organising charity events. Now he is the official link between the businesses based in the town and other agencies, such as the Council and Police.
Priorities for Ian will be to establish an active business forum, and to address immediate concerns, such as improving appearance and accessibility, and reducing concerns about anti-social behaviour. He will also be developing a programme of events to promote the town, attracting more visitors to come to Bromley and to stay longer.
Ian said "As a resident and regular shopper in Bromley I am excited that I will be part of a team achieving great things for Bromley Town Centre.”
Executive Councillor for local economy Colin Bloom said “Ian’s ability to connect with people representing every spectrum of activity and interest in the town will be very important in improving the dialogue between business and the Council and other agencies. The months ahead are critical in maintaining and improving our competitive position, and generally making a visit to the town a better all-round experience
