main content Safe Christmas on the cards

14 December 2005

A special Christmas card from the Safer Bromley Partnership delivers more than simply season’s greetings. It offers wise advice on how to keep your property safe and sound particularly at this time of year.

By following the advice on the Partnership’s specially-designed Christmas card you can help to safeguard your belongings at a time when it’s easy to be caught off guard. Mothers shopping with children, for instance, can easily be carried away by the excitement of the festive season and simply not see their bag being removed from their pushchair. Or, imagine the impact when, after a rousing Christmas meal at a local restaurant, you discover your purse or wallet is no longer where you put it!

Colin Newman, Bromley Council’s Head of Community Safety, said: “Armed with the Partnership’s simple rules outlined in our witty card and a good measure of extra vigilance, people in Bromley can make sure they have a classic Christmas rather than a catastrophic one!”

The Safer Bromley Partnership’s special Christmas card will be handed out in the Glades over the next couple of weeks. The safety information is also available on the Council’s website.
