02 February 2005

BOOST - a brand new multi-movement and personal development programme for 5-11 year olds is set to be launched later this month.

Provided by Bromley Mytime, BOOST promotes safe, fun, learning through a variety of sport, dance, drama, voice, multi movement, and game playing activities and is launching at the Walnuts and Pavilion Leisure Centres, at the end of February.

In addition, a new Mini Tennis scheme for 5-9 year olds will also be introduced.

Incorporating existing national movement programmes within it's own extensive technical expertise, Bromley Mytime has designed a fun and exciting activity that significantly improves children's 'whole body' movement whilst teaching children good ethics.

BOOST is a FUN product that develops fundamental skills. It is designed to appeal to those who are normally sedentary as well as those who are normally very active.

As well as improving core movement skills, BOOST has been designed to promote children's social skills, confidence and self-esteem.

BOOST -

  • is a FUN, enjoyable, exciting, quality programme that develops core movement skills and patterns;
  • will provide a pathway from fun multi-movement sessions into specific Sports and Arts sessions and clubs;
  • will include awards and certificates for participation; and
  • will also include a separate skills programme called TURBO BOOST for children who wish to move onto further advanced sessions.
