Awards celebrate ICT innovations
Six secondary teachers in Bromley schools were selected from 19 finalists, for their innovative work with computers at the Bromley Secondary ICT Conference today.
Winners picked up awards for pioneering work in teaching music, modern languages, maths, information technology, science and English. Each teacher received a handheld digital route planner, provided by conference sponsors, CDEC, Promethean, SAM Learning, Medium UK, GV Multimedia and Direct Visual.
The awards were part of an exciting and busy day where conference delegates had the opportunity to share ideas and learn best practice in ICT, and to strengthen curriculum networks.
Merril Haeusler, Bromley Council’s Head of School Improvement, said the selection committee had a very difficult task in reaching their final decision from a shortlist of outstanding candidates. She added: “We are pleased to offer this small token in recognition of the excellent work in ICT that is happening in all our secondary schools in Bromley.”
