main content Views sought about Special Schools proposals

08 June 2005

Bromley Council has begun to talk to as many people as possible about proposed changes to special school provision in Bromley.

The consultation is supported by the leaflet 'Learning Together', which has been circulated widely, and is available from Council offices and libraries. Alternatively, copies are available on request by calling 020 8313 4088.

Councillor Graham Arthur, Executive Member for Children and Young People, said: "I would urge everyone with an interest in this important consultation to respond with their views so that they can be taken into account in the decision-making process".

There are a number of ways to respond to the consultation:

  • complete and return the reply slip enclosed with the leaflet (quoting FREEPOST MB1140)
  • email: sen.consultation@bromley.gov.uk
  • use the 'Feedback' facility on the Council's website www.bromley.gov.uk by searching under 'SEN Consultation'
  • write to Ken Davis, Director of Education and Libraries, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH (quoting FREEPOST MB1140)
  • fax your views to: 020 8313 4049.

The deadline for responses to be received by the Director of Education and Libraries is 22 July 2005.

A series of meetings, for parents and members of the public, will also be held. Details can be found in the leaflet, on the Council's website and in the local press.
