main content 'P*H*I*T'ness is essential

21 March 2005

Exercise is essential for young people not only to keep fit and healthy, but also for fun.  With the growth in computer games and television channels to choose from, alternative physical activities must be introduced in order to improve levels of health in young people.

P*H*I*T (Positive Healthy Impact Training) offers this alternative, giving young people aged 11 to 15 the opportunity to take up an active lifestyle.  This recently launched fitness programme is attracting hundreds of Bromley's youngsters on a regular basis who are gaining expert advice from instructors.

P*H*I*T is more than just working out in the gym though.  'P*H*I*T Body Jam' offers young people the chance to take part in the latest choreographed moves.  'P*H*I*T Swim' offers a great cardio vascular work out and 'P*H*I*T Group Cycle' sessions are based on programmes used by top professionals in training.

Steve Price, Chief Executive of Bromley Mytime said, "P*H*I*T has been established to give youngsters in Bromley the opportunity to take part in their own fitness programmes.  P*H*I*T is just one of the programmes set up by Bromley Mytime, aiming at offering children healthier and more active lifestyles."

P*H*I*T sessions are run throughout the year at sites all across Bromley.  For more information e-mail: marketing@bromleymytime.org.uk or contact your nearest leisure centres.
