main content 'AddMore' to your business

14 November 2005

There is new help for small and medium sized companies in Bromley. A free advisory service, and subsidised training, is available to the directors and staff of companies with between 2 and 249 employees. It's all part of the Government's 'AddMore' project aimed at helping companies to add more value to what they do. Reed in Partnership is working with various training organisations and Business Link for London to help businesses get the best out of the scheme. The Learning and Skills Council is funding the project.

A key part of AddMore is the free consultancy, which will help business managers and owners to:

  • clarify the longer-term aims and objectives of their business;
  • identify what skills they or their staff need to meet those objectives;
  • develop a training plan;
  • find appropriate courses or training providers; and
  • secure government funding.

Training provided as part of the AddMore scheme will be heavily subsidised. In addition, the scheme is offering a grant of up to £1,000 to cover personal development expenses for managers of businesses with 20 to 249 employees.
