Another group of staff from Bromley schools have successfully completed a training course which will help them to support children with poor eyesight even better than before.

This year's cohort of staff comprised 10 learning support assistants. They were presented with certificates by the Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Mrs Joan Wykes OBE, for having passed the two year Bromley Certificate in Visual Impairment course.

Shirley Weller, vision team co-ordinator for the Bromley Education Sensory Support Service, commented: "The course has again been very successful and the participants have enjoyed and benefited from it."

The successful members of staff were: Teresa Anderson, Teri Carty, Cheryl Cosgrave, Catherine Evans, Louise Flood, Barbara Holt, Maxine Hooper, Isobel Kimpton, Wendy Tung and Christine van Welsenes.

Executive Councillor for Children and Young People, Graham Arthur, said: "I am delighted for the individuals concerned. This achievement exemplifies their dedication to the children they work with. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the new cohort of staff who have begun the course every success."
