Connect, the free leisure card for 11-19 year olds brought together competition winners at the Churchill Theatre last week to see the opening of the ‘Broadway’ show - a review of hit musicals. The winners were given exclusive treatment with a photo call beforehand and a VIP area during the interval.

The competition is one of many that Connect are running through their website together with promoting what’s on offer for young people. The FREE Connect card acts as a Bromley library card and gives cardholders discounts at all Bromley Mytime leisure and sports centres and with partners such as the Churchill Theatre. Registration forms for the Connect card are available at Bromley libraries, all Bromley Mytime leisure and sports centres and online at www.getoutmore.org.uk.

Julia Potts, Head of Education for the Churchill Theatre said “The Churchill Theatre is delighted to be a partner in the Connect scheme. We are committed to encouraging more young people to support cultural activities and to experience live theatre through the scheme.”

Councillor Neil Reddin, Executive Member for Community Safety and Leisure said “The scheme is an important vehicle to promote to Bromley's young people all of the cultural and leisure opportunities available to them. The Council are fully behind the scheme and its partners in Bromley Mytime and The Churchill Theatre. With special offers and discounts available at all Bromley's leisure centres and a series of special events planned the scheme is sure to have a positive impact on Bromley's young people”.
