Teenagers can Connect to free swimming
Bromley Mytime leisure centres are offering FREE weekend swimming to young people aged 11 - 15 years as part of the Connect card scheme. The Spa at Beckenham, The Pavilion Leisure Centre in Bromley, The Walnuts Leisure Centre in Orpington and West Wickham Pools are all taking part in the programme, part funded by the Bromley Drugs Action Team.
The Connect card is FREE and acts as a young persons library card and Bromley Mytime leisure centre membership card and is run in partnership with Bromley Council. It offers activities to young people in sports, the arts and includes competitions and discounts.
Swimming is a great choice for fitness and for fun and everyone can enjoy it. The rewards are endless and if you have not been to a pool for a while things have certainly changed. All centres offer top class swimming facilities and the Pavilion also has excellent slides and a wave machine, whilst The Spa at Beckenham was voted the best public swimming pool in Britain by the Independent Newspaper 2004.
The pools will be available for FREE use at specific times during the weekends until the end of the year. For more details about this and other great offers from Connect visit the Connect website.
