The buzzword on the street
Under 11’s in Bromley now have over 500 activity courses to choose from in all areas of sport, drama and art. All of these are detailed in the new FREE magazine ‘The buzzword’ available at local libraries and leisure centres and can be downloaded from www.bromleymytime.org.uk.
The buzzword sees the launch of three distinct categories that help children develop and progress with tailored programmes and activities; baby buzz (0-3 years), mini buzz (3-7 years) and kids buzz (8-11 years).
Bromley Mytime, the charitable leisure trust that operates leisure facilities in partnership with Bromley Council, are extending the easter and summer buzz holiday programme across all activities and facilities ensuring high quality, affordability, safety and fun.
The buzzword offers a huge selection and variety of activities for children to get involved in including trampolining, tennis and football with Crystal Palace Football in the Community. It also sees the launch of Super Sports - a new exciting sports activity programme that gives children the foundations for a whole range of sports.
Adam Royall, Programme Development Officer said; “From baby to mini to kids buzz parents will see clear progression and development in basic skills that include agility, balance, movement and co-ordination. Children will be introduced to more specific sports skills and techniques throughout the programmes. The emphasis is on fun and learning, including the development of social skills so that children not only build a healthier lifestyle but also develop holistically.”
