main content Sing Out for Connect

13 April 2006

Bromley’s young people had the chance to experience a wide range of activities over the Easter holidays. Connect, the leisure card for 11-19 year olds ran ‘Above and Beyond’ taster days in Film Making, Drama, Singing and Song writing and Tennis in the Bromley area.

As well as the ‘Above and Beyond’ days, Connect gave away tickets to a screening of Alien Autopsy at the Empire cinema (formerly the Odeon) in Bromley on Thursday 13 April.

With the success of the 5 week course and the Easter taster day Connect are set to continue their Singing & Song writing term time course starting from Tuesday 25 April. The course will give 11-16 year olds a chance to develop their skills, put together original compositions and record their work under the guidance of a professional tutor.

The course will run for two hours a week over a 6 week period. The course cost is £48 for Connect cardholders. For more information on the course or to book a place, call 020 8461 1740.

Connect is a FREE scheme giving teenagers the chance to access leisure and cultural activities with a FREE Connect card that also acts as a library card. Connect cards are available from local Bromley libraries or online at www.getoutmore.org.uk.

The Connect website www.getoutmore.org.uk gives details on all upcoming events as well as access to competitions and full listings of discounts available to cardholders.
