07 August 2006

National Play Day takes place every year in August and to celebrate the day, Bromley Council’s Early Years and Childcare Service organised a fun day for Children and Young People with disabilities.

The day was packed full with activities for the children and young people to join in with; the biggest decision was what to do first! The drumming workshop, face painting, arts and crafts, dressing up, role play, bouncy castle, ball pool, giant Jenga and connect four and various free play activities.

Special guest at the event was Chris Jarvis from the C Beebies, who organised lots fun and games for everyone.

The children and young people where also entertained by a Steel Pan Band, Micky the Magician and the Screaming Eagles Line dancing group.

Ernest Noad, Bromley’s executive councillor for children and young people, said: “It’s great that children and young people with disabilities have been given the opportunity to attend a fun day and I hope that everyone who was present enjoyed themselves”.
