Budding young Sophia Coppola’s and Guy Ritchie’s got a taste of life behind the camera last week with Connect ‘Above and Beyond Days’.
The film workshop, delivered by the Arts Development Team of Bromley Mytime, was one of a series of specialist tutored days taking place in the half term under the Connect brand. Other ‘Above and Beyond Days’ included drama, singing / songwriting and tennis at Bromley Tennis Centre in Orpington. Bromley Mytime is a local charitable trust that re-invests surpluses to enhance arts, sports and play facilities and services in Bromley.
Vince German, Marketing Executive, said; “The courses were an overwhelming success and many were oversubscribed. Following on from these sessions Connect will be running a 6 week singing and songwriting course, which leads into the Connect ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition to be held at the Churchill Theatre in April.”
The FREE Connect card for 11-19 year olds is also a Bromley Mytime leisure centre membership card to 9 leisure and sports centres giving discounted rates on all activities such as gym, swimming and even golf.
Cardholders have exclusive access to a number of ‘Above and Beyond’ events including Battle of the Bands and exclusive film screenings. There are more ‘Above & Beyond Days’ planned for the Easter holidays. For more information visit www.getoutmore.org.uk or email info@getoutmore.org.uk
