Connect, the scheme for teenagers that is sweeping through Bromley is running specialist ‘Above and Beyond’ days during the Summer holidays. ‘Above and Beyond’ days include a unique opportunity to get involved in a film making workshop and also tennis coaching.

The scheme co-ordinated by Bromley Mytime, the biggest local leisure provider, in partnership with Bromley Council. ‘Above and Beyond’ days run from 10am – 4pm, are delivered by fully qualified staff, and take place at Bromley Tennis Centre in Orpington and Beckenham Public Hall during the Summer holidays. Each day costs £25 for Connect card holders and £35 for non Connect card holders – Connect Cards are available FREE from your local library.

Deborah Glazzard, Connect Brand Manager, said “The ever popular Above and Beyond activities have become a regular part of the Connect offering. We have kept the programme fresh by adding a music and video technology course and a music jam workshop to the regular favourites of Bromley’s youngsters. In the past, the programme has received an excellent response so I urge people to book now to avoid disappointment.”

’Above and Beyond’ days are part of the Connect card project aimed at 11 –19 year olds. The Connect card is FREE and acts as a young persons library card and Bromley Mytime leisure centre membership card. It also offers activities to young people in sports, the arts and includes all sorts of competitions.

Spaces are limited, and are allocated on a first come first served basis. For more information please call 020 8323 1756, email info@getoutmore.org.uk or visit www.getoutmore.org.uk
