Connect, the leisure activity scheme for 11-19 year olds, is running Get Out More Road shows in the Summer holidays at venues across the borough. The road shows will include attractions such as skateboarding parks, climbing walls, roller discos, ice skating rinks and an Xbox challenge.

The first of the Connect Get Out More Road shows will be held at the Pavilion Leisure Centre in Bromley on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August. Activities on the opening weekend will include a Roller Disco, Skateboarding park, Xbox Challenge, P*H*I*T exercise tasters and Music, photography and DJ workshop tasters. There’ll also be a climbing wall in the Glades Shopping Centre opposite JJB Sports and Marks & Spencer's on the lower level. The activities will all be affordable and represent excellent value for money with a number of activities being offered FREE.

Connect cardholders will receive discounts on the day - Connect Cards are available FREE from your local library. There’s no need to book any activities, visit www.getoutmore.org.uk for activity running times and simply turn up to have a go. The road shows have been supported by Connect partners Broomleigh Housing Association, The Glades, The Priory Extended School and The Safer Bromley Partnership. The road shows have also received Sports Match funding following sponsorship from the Limehouse Group. Steve Price, Chief Executive of Bromley Mytime who co-ordinate the Connect scheme, said, “Connect is committed to providing leisure and cultural activities to young people across the borough.
