June is National Sure Start Month! What’s that? Well, Sure Start month celebrates all children and families who use and benefit from childcare and early years education services. In order to celebrate in Bromley, the Early Years & Childcare Service is holding a Family Fun Day on Saturday 17 June, 2006, from 1pm - 3pm in Norman Park in Bromley.

At this free event, a number of childcare providers will be having fun activity stalls, so, for example face-painting (in the football flags!), biscuit-making, large collages, Thai cooking and so on. The childcare providers get to promote their service while providing a fun activity for the children (and the parents!).

The whole event is being opened by the Cheeky Girls, who will also perform a very short set.

The event is open to everyone, and is a great opportunity for children to take part in activities while their parents/carers can learn more about childcare and early years education.

The event is aimed at parents, carers and children and young people of any age!
