Young musicians from in and around Bromley have the chance to show that they are the next rock legends at the ‘Connect Battle of the Bands’ competition. The event will see six local bands play at The Churchill Theatre to an audience of over 200 with the winning band receiving a day’s professional studio time as well as an exclusive band photo shoot!
Entrants need to record and send in a cover version and these will be posted on the Connect website at www.getoutmore.org.uk where visitors can vote for their favourites. The bands will be whittled down to the top six who will perform live at the Churchill Theatre in April.
Vince German, Marketing Executive, said; “Entries are starting to come in and a selection is already on the website. There’s still time for local bands to enter. Connect’s Battle of the Bands is a great opportunity for young musicians to get more experience, get noticed, play to a huge audience plus win studio time, a photo shoot and live recording of their song.”
Connect is a FREE scheme giving teenagers the chance to access leisure and cultural activities with a FREE Connect card that also acts as a library card.
