On 17 May Bromley School Sport Partnership hosted their annual Boccia festival at Marjorie McClure Special School. 12 schools took part in all with both mainstream and special schools represented. Boccia is a competitive Paralympic sport, similar to bowls, which is designed to be played by people with disabilities or motor difficulties.
In the region of 50 pupils from year 2 took part in a variety of activities based around the sport of Boccia including Boccia Hoops, target Boccia, precision throw, Boccia snooker and throw golf.
Pupils enjoyed the day immensely and were well supported by young leaders from Coopers Technology College and Majorie McClure school who explained the events and helped with the officiating.
