main content Noise Action Week starts with a bang…

Town Crier, Tony Appleton

22 May 2007

…or, maybe a ring! Town Crier, Tony Appleton, announces Jackie Goad from Bromley Council’s environmental health team and Doraj Miah, one of Broomleigh’s neighbourhood wardens who are among the team manning the ‘Noisemobile’ around the borough this week (Monday 21 to Friday 25 May). Today they were in Albemarle Road, next to St Georges Road in Beckenham.

Bromley Council is working in partnership with Broomleigh Housing Association over the week to talk to people locally and hand out a raft of helpful leaflets and brochures. Later in the week ‘Friendly Bear’ will join the team to spread the word and help residents solve noise issues in their neighbourhood.

You’ll find the team in the following parts of the borough. The road-show will be in the Walnuts on Tuesday, at the Co-op car park in Mottingham on Wednesday, the Library parking bay at Pallant Way, Locksbottom on Thursday and at the Market Square end of the High Street in Bromley Town Centre on Friday 25 May.
