Join the Bromley e business revolution
Businesses keen to harness the power of the internet are invited to join a new training initiative, launched this month. The ebusinessbromley project has been developed by Bromley Council and Bromley Adult Education College to help business owners in the borough understand the technology and develop their own e-business strategies.
With UK online shopping sales due to hit £40bn this year, and forecast to grow to £162bn by 2020, it is difficult for anyone to ignore the massive potential of the internet as a channel for business growth. But faced with a dazzling array of choices and ever-changing technology, it is no wonder that, for many small businesses, taking the first steps in e-business can be a daunting prospect.
The ebusinessbromley project offers a series of short training seminars, delivered by business and ICT experts, on a range of topics - from a general overview of the benefits (and pitfalls) of e-business through creating a website to search engine marketing. An introductory half day session is free of charge to Bromley-based businesses with up to 50 employees. Advanced workshops, ranging from half to two days are charged at £25 + VAT per half day for eligible businesses.
