On Thursday October 11 Kelsey Park Sports College hosted a football festival for infant children across Bromley. The afternoon was a great success with over 150, 5 and 6 year old girls and boys from 10 local primary schools attending. In keeping with the recent Women’s World Cup, each school represented a country and much care was given to making flags and mascots in the appropriate colours.

Players from the Bromley Football Academy, based at Kelsey Park Sports College ran a series of skills sessions for each team and then coached and refereed 5 a side games to finish the afternoon. The emphasis was on participation and fun. Certificates were awarded for fair play, best goal celebration and ‘best turned out team’. A large number of spectators came to watch and a great day was had by all.
