Along with all local authorities, following the introduction of the Electoral Administration Act 2006, the Council is required to review its polling districts and polling stations. The review must be completed by 31 December 2007 and after that on a four year cycle.

The Council has commenced the review and is inviting representations and comments from local political parties and councillors as well as those with specialist knowledge and interest in issues around accessibility such as disability groups. The formal consultation period is from 24 September 2007 to 15 October 2007. The Council is also asking for views from any elector registered in the borough and anyone wishing to submit a comment should send it in writing to Electoral Services, Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, by no later than 15 October 2007.

Ward maps showing local polling places are available for inspection at the electoral services’ offices and further information is available from the helpline on 020 8313 4364.
