Due to emergency building works, the library in Shortlands Road will be closed for 11 weeks. It will close from Monday 12 May until Friday 25 July. Books and other items on loan at that time can be returned to any Bromley library, or renewed by phone 020 8460 8567or by visiting the libraries renewal page.

The nearest libraries are:

Bromley Central Library, High Street, Bromley, which is open every day, including Sunday.

Beckenham Library, Beckenham Road, which is closed Thursday and Sunday.

Notes to editors:

There are fifteen libraries in the borough as well as a new mobile library that operates every day except Sunday. Last year the borough ranked 3rd in London for the total number of books issued (out of 32).
