Bromley's Annual Landlords Fair proves huge success

More than 100 landlords attended this year’s Bromley Council Landlords Fair at the Bromley Central Library on 29 October 2014.
The event is designed to support local landlords who in turn will provide homes for a growing number of people needing accommodation in the borough. New and existing landlords alike had the chance to get all the information and guidance they need to successfully let their property from a variety of exhibition stands representing both local and national organisations each with valuable expertise in the field.
There was also an opportunity for landlords to attend and participate in a number of individually themed seminars including lively question and answer sessions. Experts were on hand to offer valuable guidance on topics such as legal advice and landlord insurance, with practical demonstrations, all of which were very well received. Comments during the day included: “There was plenty of useful information and free material”, “all representatives (were) very well informed” and “I found it very helpful and the people very friendly”. In an exit survey, 98 per cent of attendees stated that the Landlords Fair was ‘good to excellent’.
At the event, Executive Member for Care Services, Councillor Robert Evans said: “Bromley’s Landlords Fair confirms our commitment to engage with landlords in the private sector to provide safe and settled homes for families currently in housing need. On the back on this year’s success, the housing team is already starting to plan for future events.”
