Biggin Hill Airport decision date
Published Friday, 13 March 2015
The application to increase operating hours at Biggin Hill Airport will be considered later this month in a special full council meeting, with a decision made by the Executive.
A special meeting of the council is being held on Wednesday 25 March at 7pm in the Council Chamber to discuss Biggin Hill Airport Limited’s application. Immediately after, the Council’s Executive will then make a decision about BHAL’s proposal, with this meeting being held in the Great Hall. The meetings will follow all of the council’s usual meeting guidelines. The council’s current consultation formally closes on Friday 13 March.
Councillor Stephen Carr, Leader of Bromley Council said, "There has been significant public interest about the Airport’s proposal and I would like to thank residents for taking the time to respond. There are clearly many and varied views being expressed, with strong views held by those both for and against the proposals. There is still time to respond to our consultation if you have not already done so and the easiest way is via the council’s website, where the full application details are also published."
Already, over 36,000 individual responses have been received along with other letters and representations, making it the largest response ever received by the Council. Details about the application including how to respond to the consultation are available by visiting www.bromley.gov.uk/bigginhillairport.
