Pension boards for the Local Government Pension Scheme

The Local Pension Scheme of the London Borough of Bromley is seeking two member representatives and two employer representatives to join its new Local Pension Board.

This will meet on an annual basis to review compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance, and review scheme governance. Members of the Board will also be invited to attend meetings of the Pensions Investment Sub-Committee. 

Prospective Board members do not need to have knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations, but must be willing and have the capacity to develop such a knowledge base within a short time period. The London Borough of Bromley will organise initial training that Board Members will be required to attend. 

The roles on the Local Pension Board of Member and Employer Representatives are unpaid voluntary roles, however, board members will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses.
