MyBromley Account proves popular with residents

Orpington resident Adam Cossar is the lucky winner of a brand new iPad in a special prize draw run by Bromley Council to celebrate the launch of its new MyBromley account.
Residents can use MyBromley Account to help manage their council tax account, request services, report problems, automatically part-fill forms, and receive alerts and information about services. The account provides a safe and secure way to do business with the council, at a time that suits residents without having to queue in person or on the phone. Over time, more services will be added to help personalise the experience, making it quicker and easier for them to keep track of their dealings with the council.
Presenting the prize at the Civic Centre on Friday 26 June, Executive Member for Resources, Cllr Graham Arthur, said: “I’m delighted that so many people have already signed up to what is fast becoming a very helpful account. Not only does it save time for residents as they do business with the council more quickly and efficiently, but it also saves taxpayers’ money. Getting in touch online is far more cost effective than using other methods such as the telephone to contact the council.”
More than 7,000 people had a chance to win the prize sponsored by Liberata who administer the account for Bromley Council. Residents had to complete their two-stage registration for a MyBromley Account to be entered into the prize draw.
The council continues to encourage those not yet signed up, to go online, register and start taking advantage of using their new MyBromley Account. To find out how, follow the instructions at www.bromley.gov.uk/MyBromley
