Bromley Advice and Information Service (BAIS)
Bromley Advice and Information Service (BAIS), commissioned by Bromley's Drug Action Team, provides a multidisciplinary approach to treating drug misuse through a process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care packages. This may include health and social care assessment, substitute prescribing harm reduction and relapse prevention counselling, vaccination programmes, and support and advice to those affected by drugs misuse.
Who could benefit from/use this service?
People living in the London Borough of Bromley who have problems relating to misuse of opiates, polydrug use (or a range of substances including opiates) and whose mental health is affected by their substance use.

- Assessment
- Prescribing programmes
- Hepatitis vaccination
- Mental health assessment and joint working with mental health services for people with a dual diagnosis
- Relapse prevention
- Structured care pathways
- Counselling and support
Referral Pathways
Clients can self refer to the service or are referred by other agencies - including partner addiction agencies, primary care, mental health services, social services, general hospitals and criminal justice agencies.
The open access clinic provides the opportunity for residents of the London Borough of Bromley to seek help and support concerning a drug problem. The open access clinics are open at various times. Contact the service for details.
