 The Bromley Community Alcohol Service works in conjunction with Bromley Council's Adult and Community Services, the Primary Care Trust and local agencies to provide help and advice to those with alcohol related problems. The Bromley Community Alcohol Service is provided by Phoenix Futures – one of the country’s foremost organisations that work with people suffering as a result of addiction. 

 Who could benefit from/use this service

The service is available to anyone living within the London Borough of Bromley who is worried about the amount of alcohol they are drinking. 

Details 

The Bromley Community Alcohol Service is dedicated to offering clients, affected by alcohol, assistance in regaining independence, health and self-esteem. We will work with clients to access either community-based or inpatient detoxification programmes and offer counselling support to people who wish to become abstinent or to examine their alcohol use in a safe place.

• Information and advice
• One to one and group work
• Home/community detoxification services
• Access to in-patient/residential detoxification services
• Volunteer training

Some people need to be referred to hospital because their health has been affected by alcohol. Others can receive the help they need in their own home.

Costs

There is no cost to see staff at the service or if you need to be treated in hospital. 

Next Steps/Conditions 

Access to our services is through REACH, a drop-in centre where any member of REACH staff can take your initial referral with confidence. Once referred in this way, an appointment will be arranged for you to meet with staff so that they can assess your needs. The Bromley Community Alcohol Service works in partnership with many other drug and alcohol services in the Borough of Bromley so that, between the agencies, all needs can be catered for and addressed.
