Bromley Community Drug Project
The Bromley Community Drug Project (BCDP) works in conjunction with Bromley Council's Adults and Community Services Department and local agencies to provide confidential help and advice to those with drug and solvent misuse related problems.
Who is this service for?
People living in the London Borough of Bromley who misuse or have in the past misused drugs and solvents, and for their families, partners and friends. The project also provides advice and information to professionals and anyone with an interest in drug misuse issues.

REACH drop-in service.
Monday Wednesday and Friday 2.00 to 4.00pm
Tuesday and Thursday 4.00 to 7.00pm
Bromley Community Drug Project
Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm
Disabled access available. Services can be provided locally for clients unable to access services in Bromley due to disability or childcare issues.
Details
Staff based at the project will try to get an accurate picture of how serious the problem is and agree with you the best way to help. The help offered will depend on individual circumstances.
Services available are listed below:
- Confidential drug counselling and telephone help-line
- Information and advice for drug users, their families and friends
- Contact point for Narcotics Anonymous clients
- Information and advice on drug related issues to the wider community and professionals
- Support, information and onward referral for users with complex health needs
- Structured day programme for those wishing to maintain abstinence from drug use
- Access to in-patient or community detox services along with assessment for residential rehabilitation
- Supported Housing Scheme for those leaving rehabilitation
- Specialist young persons worker
- Social services family development worker for drug using families
- Outreach and community development worker targeting Black and minority ethnic groups
- Arrest referral scheme
- Range of complementary therapies, including ear acupuncture and shiatsu massage
- Educational work with schools, colleges and youth clubs
A social services care manager Bromley Council is also available at the project at certain times each week for assistance arranging day support or rehabilitation away from home. This care manager is usually located at the Bromley Advice and Information Service
Costs
There is no cost to see staff at the project or for a care manager to assess your needs.
You will only have to pay for help if you need to go away from home to receive specialist assistance or if you need day support. The amount you will be asked to pay will depend on your financial circumstances. This will be fully discussed with you before arranging your care.

At certain times you can also ‘drop in’ without an appointment but you will need to telephone the service to confirm when the ‘drop in’ sessions are being held.
Self referral by telephone or ‘drop in’ is preferred but referrals from professionals, relatives, carers and friends are also welcomed. On referral, an appointment will be arranged for you to meet with staff so that they can assess your needs.
