For more information please read the eligibility criteria for adults and Social Services Support for Children and Families.
Details
A specialist care manager for HIV/AIDS, based at Bromley Civic Centre, is available to provide advice and information, assess client needs and arrange appropriate services such as respite care, support in the home, accommodation and daytime activities.
The care manager works closely with health professionals in the HIV/AIDS field and a number of voluntary agencies in the Borough.
One Stop Shop: The care manager, a clinical nurse specialist and a Citizens Advice Bureau advisor are available every Wednesday morning between 9.30am and 12.30pm at Beckenham Hospital to help with any problems/concerns you may wish to discuss. Although not always necessary it is advisable to book an appointment for peace of mind.
Costs
There is no charge for assessing client needs. You may however be required to contribute towards the cost of any services arranged for you by the Social Services & Housing Department. The amount you will be asked to pay will depend on your financial circumstances. This will be fully discussed with you before arranging your care.
