main content Children and family care

A wide range of services provide care, support and advice for families with children aged under 18 years.

Services are provided by a number of agencies from the statutory, voluntary and independent sectors. Some services can only be accessed via the Health Service or the Council’s Children and Young People Department. You can, however, access many other services directly yourself.

You can find out about the Children and Young People's Plan 2006-2009 here.

Priority for services provided by or paid for by Bromley Council is given to borough residents who have been assessed as meeting our eligibility criteria for getting help from social services. This is to ensure that services go to those in the greatest need.Social Services Support for Children and Families outlines the social services assessment process and the criteria for services.

If you are looking for information about the range of services that provide care, support and advice for families with children, the new Bromley Families Information website contains lots of details, all in one place. The website holds the information from many different services, about many different support organisations and covers all ages.
