A guide to the Local Implementation Plan
The Local Implementation Plan (LIP) is a statutory document, required by the Greater London Authority Act 1999, which sets out how we intend to implement the Mayor’s Transport Strategy within the borough. Each borough must produce a plan which details how they will address the 14 transport related targets set by the Mayor of London. Contact us for information on our transport strategies.
Details
The Local Implementation Plan aims to provide a mechanism to deliver well-integrated transport improvements for London. It is required to address priorities such as safety and security, reducing traffic congestion, improved bus services, accessibility and other local transport initiatives.
Bromley's plan was finalised in January 2007 after consultation and revision. The plan includes a timetable for implementing those proposals outlined and assesses the funding and resources needed to deliver these proposals.
