There are literally thousands of parking spaces across the borough for residents, shoppers and visitors. In some areas, there are parking restrictions in place which are designed to control parking for the benefit of everyone. By enforcing parking restrictions, there are less obstructions which helps to keep traffic flowing freely and improves road safety. Our contractor enforces parking restrictions; issuing penalty charge notices (PCNs), sometimes known as parking tickets, where necessary. As part of our routine enforcement operations, we are now using body worn video devices (head cameras) as announced in February 2009.
