A parking dispensation allows a vehicle to park on a waiting restriction (yellow line) in circumstances where the vehicle needs to be close to a specific location. For example, for carrying out works that require continuous access to a building for loading or unloading goods or materials; or in connection with funerals, blood transfusion services, health screening, domestic removals, etc.

Terms and conditions
The charge will be quoted on application.
Parking dispensations will only be issued where the council considers that no alternative options are available. They are not intended to provide 'convenience' parking.
A parking dispensation can only be used in connection with a specific vehicle, purpose, date and location that has been pre-arranged.
The vehicle must be parked in a manner that creates no hazard to pedestrians or other road users, does not obstruct sight lines at junctions and does not obstruct access or cause obstruction to the free flow of traffic.
The vehicle must not be parked in:
- a disabled person's bay
- bays reserved for doctors, ambulances, taxis,
- bus stop areas
- parking meter bayes or pay and display bays
- an area that is subject to a loading ban indicated by yellow kerb markings
- or on a footway or grass verge
- or on school zig-zags markings during restricted hours
- or on pedestrian crossing zig-zags.
Please note that the council are unable to grant dispensations for red routes, which are the responsibility of Transport for London. Details about how to apply for a dispensation to park on a red route can be found on Transport for London's website.
