main content Parking dispensations

A parking dispensation allows vehicles to park on a waiting restriction in circumstances where the vehicle needs to be close to a specific location. For example if you are carrying out works that require you to park close to a building where you need continuous access to load or unload goods or materials; or in connection with funerals, blood transfusion services, health screening, domestic removals etc.

Details

A charge will generally be applicable for each vehicle.

Please note that red routes are the responsibility of the police and you will need to apply for a dispensation on a red route to them. The council will not be able to grant a parking dispensation on a red route.
