Orpington Parking Scheme
New and additional parking places can be found within walking distance of Orpington town centre. This follows the closure of Station Road car park, which is to be redeveloped to provide a new store and modern car park. The parking places are being provided on a temporary basis whilst the redevelopment takes place.

In some roads, motorists can now only park using 'mobile telephone parking'. Parking charges are activated/deactivated by phone or via the internet. Motorists register to use their mobile phone to pay for parking by going to the Parkmobile website or calling 0870 730 5005 . Membership of this scheme costs £1 per month.
Details
Whilst the traditional 'pay and display' parking still applies in some roads, you can now also use your mobile phone to park within the zone. Electronic signs on the approaches to the High Street will direct traffic to the multi-storey car parks, indicating the number of free spaces available. These signs will include the new car park when it is opened.
