There are 23 taxi ranks in the Bromley area. The purpose of a taxi rank is to provide residents and visitors with a set location where they can hire a licensed taxi. Ranks are located in places where people most need a taxi, for example, railway stations and busy shopping areas. The ranks are the only places where a taxi may wait for business in a stationary position.
