main content Crossovers

You will need a crossover if you wish to drive across the pavement to park on your property. To apply for a crossover, contact us.

Details

A crossover strengthens the pavement, preventing damage to it and any public utility services (like pipes) that are below the surface. They also prevent damage to your vehicle that occurs from bumping over the kerb. It is illegal to drive over the pavement unless there is a crossover.

Please note that you may require planning permission for a crossover.  If you have a disability, consider having an occupational therapy assessment before you apply for a crossover.

For more information on terms and conditions, please see the information leaflet, which has an application form attached.
