Cycling is an increasingly useful way of getting around and many adults would like to be more confident on the roads. Our courses are designed for just that.

Cycle training is available all year round for adults and families who would like to get out and cycle on the roads for fun, exercise or to get to work.

Details

Training takes place in small groups – starting “off road” in a cycle friendly park near to where you live, dealing with basic cycle maintenance and building up individual confidence in bicycle control.

Once confidence has been gained, the training continues on local roads, dealing with road junctions and good practice for dealing with other traffic.

The first session concludes with a short ride on fairly quiet roads.
The second session takes the form of a ride on a wide variety of road types with varying amounts of traffic flow.

Courses are arranged according to demand, and are usually held on summer evenings or at weekends.

Family groups are a maximum of two adults and two children. Children must be aged 8 or over.

Transport for London (TFL) are sponsoring these courses and for a limited period all these adult and family courses are free.
