Transport Projects in Bromley
There are a number of different transport projects or traffic schemes underway across the borough at any given time. The projects are introduced for a number of different reasons which range from road safety to improving traffic flow or to control parking. It could also include schemes for vulnerable road users such as cyclists or pedestrians. You can contact us to find out more information about a particular project or to give us your views.

This is a list of all of the transport projects currently being considered and progressed in the borough by road. The list does not include road works or traffic schemes on ‘red routes’, as red routes are controlled by Transport for London.
This list is of schemes that are already underway or recently completed:
- Orpington Hospital area parking improvements
- Penge High Street improved footway and cycle path
- Crown Lane - widening
- Blackbrook Lane - pelican crossing outside Bromley High School
- Summer Hill safety scheme
- Petts Wood parking improvements
- Crab Hill - new road surface
- Walnuts Estate parking scheme
- Goddington Lane and Charterhouse Road safety scheme
