In spring the government announced the £150 non-repayable council tax rebate for qualifying households in council tax bands A – D to help households with rising energy costs.
This is in the form of a payment of £150 per household and is regardless of the number of occupants or council taxpayers named on the bill.
All eligible households have either received a payment or have been notified that the £150 rebate has been credited to their council tax account.
If your rebate has been credited to your council tax account and you wish to claim a refund please go to council tax refund request and ensure you select the energy rebate option in the refund form.
The scheme is now closed.
Further details about the £150 council tax rebate, as well as other ways the government is helping with rising energy costs, are available on the GOV.UK website.
