100 years of Royal Celebrations...
This exhibition displays Bromley’s Royal Collection for the first time, in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Come together to enjoy free films and concerts as part of Bromley Council’s borough-wide celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The commemorative concerts at Queens Gardens, which run alongside al fresco film screenings, feature a host of fabulous local talent and culminate with a live screening of the Party at the Palace.
Acts already confirmed include Magpie Dance, Bromley Vocal School, Skylark School of Dance, Spotlights Theatre, Everyone Matters, West Wickham Operatic Society, with more acts to follow.
Thursday 2 June:
10 am -12:45pm, film screening – The Lion King (film starts 10:45) – U - 1994 – Disney. Duration: 1 hour 58 minutes A much loved, animated, musical classic that tells the tale of young lion cub, Simba and his father, Mufusa, the king.
1.30- 5pm film screening – Beauty and the Beast (film starts 13:45) - PG - 2017 – Disney. Duration: 2 hours 19 minutes Emma Watson stars in the 2017 Disney version of the story of Belle and the Beast, her prince.
6.30-9.40 pm, film screening – ‘People’s choice’ royal drama to be confirmed vote online (film starts 7.30)
Friday 3 June:
10am -12:45pm, film screening – Shrek (film starts 10:45) - 2001 - U - Dreamworks – Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes Shrek sets out to save his home and rescue Princess Fiona in this animated family favourite.
1:30- 5pm, film screening – Frozen (film starts 13:45) - 2013 – PG - Disney. Duration: 1 hour 42 minutes Anna and Kristoff join forces to find Snow Queen Elsa and break her icy spell to save their kingdom from winter’s cold grip.
6 - 9.30pm, live concert (concert starts 6.30pm) Performances and exact timings to be confirmed.
Saturday 4 June:
10am -12:45 pm, film screening – Minions (film starts 10:45) – U -2015 - Illumination Entertainment. Duration: 1 hour 31 minutes Kevin, Stuart and Bob set off to find a new evil boss. They find Scarlet Overkill and become part of her plot to become the Queen of England.
1.30pm - 4pm, film screening – Bohemian Rhapsody: The Story of Queen (film starts 13:45) - 2018 - 12 - 20th Century Fox. Duration: 2 hours 14 minutes The story of the life of Freddy Mercury, lead singer of rock band Queen and the band’s epic rise to fame.

Bromley with join over 1,500 beacons being lit across the nation for the Platinum Jubilee with a special beacon lighting ceremony in Crystal Palace
Residents are invited to come and see the beacon lighting ceremony in Crystal Palace Park, which forms part of borough’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The event will feature a bugler, bagpiper and choir performing as the beacon is lit, which ticket-holding residents are encouraged to enjoy with an evening picnic.
Following considerable local interest, all 7,000 tickets to view the beacon lighting have now sold out. A few tickets may become available at times if other residents cancel, which can be found on the Eventbrite website

Gates for the event will open at 7pm, with last admission at 8.30pm before the beacon is lit at 9.30pm.
The entrance for the event will be Cintra Gate of the park on Anerley Hill, SE19 2BA.

By bus: Routes serving the park and its surrounding area include 3, 122, 157, 202, 227, 249, 322, 358, 363, 410, 417, 432, 450.
By car: Car parks will not be accessible for this event with no parking facilities in the area. Ticket holders are strongly advised to use alternative means of transport.
