Wills and trusts, deputyship and lasting powers of attorney webinar
In partnership with local solicitors and notaries, Clarkson Wright and Jakes, our engagement partner, Your Voice in Health and Social Care (YVHSC) would like to invite you to a free webinar for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who live in Bromley.
Wednesday 17 March 2021 between 10:30-11:30am via Zoom
Clarkson Wright and Jakes will be delivering a Zoom webinar which gives a general introduction to protecting your family assets and how to provide for vulnerable children in your will. The session, tailored to parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities, will cover the following topics: Court of Protection, applying for deputyship; financial affairs and health and welfare, appointee ship and lasting powers of attorney.

Family workshops - Bromley Children Project
The Bromley Children Project offer a range of training activities to support children, young people and their families. During this time of Covid-19 we have had to suspend our training sessions but are investigating alternative ways of delivering these sessions to you.

Bromley Mencap – Autism Family Support Service
Delivered by guest speakers these themed virtual workshops, delivered using Zoom, will include behaviours that challenge, relaxation and a workshop specifically for young people.
New themes will include discussions about returning to learning after lockdown and home learning, while sessions will include an introduction to social communication difficulties and ASC.
Council for Disabled Children E-learning courses
The Council for Disabled Children has launched these free e-learning courses which now include holistic outcomes for EHC plans. A free, self-guided course that takes all the key elements from their popular and well-received live training repackaged into a series of online modules, covering aspirations, outcomes from children, young people and family perspectives, outcomes from professional perspectives, including writing SMART outcomes,legal considerations, annual reviews.

Education Health and Care (EHC) portal training

SEND training collaborative
The SEND training collaborative offers high quality, evidence-based SEND training and development opportunities for Bromley schools and early years settings.
This comprehensive training offer is for practitioners working across Education, Health and Care. This training will develop the skills, confidence and expertise of our workforce, across early years, primary and secondary sector, in meeting the diverse needs of children with special educational needs and disability.
